This is my first year growing this cultivar, It is an F1 hybrid and supposedly more vigorous than open polinated types. Mine are now about 16 inches and I can detect no difference as compared to Vates. At this point I would say it is not worth the diference in seed costs, but it it is a pretty and vigorous plant
