Information only, I do not grow this plant.

Common in freshwater marshes, swamps, sluggish streams, ponds and lakes all across most of North America.

It produces many underwater branches and has small white...somethimes pink , flowers in whorls on the stalks. It blooms from June to October across most of the country.

The bulb-like root was dried and eaten by Native Americans.
