Greetings, I've had this plant for several years in pots. It re-roots quite easily and makes a better houseplant than garden plant unless you keep it potted. I love it. So if you get one keep it out of the ground, like morning glories and wisteria it will run a muck!

I have had this plant for years, and so far as I can tell, it's pretty marginal in my cold rainy winters here in southern California- it seems to go deciduous in winter, and then rot if kept too wet... but some how one or more of the stems manages to survive over winter and a new plant develops the following summer. Ends up vining all over the place quite aggressively, but I know it's only a temporary thing, so don't worry about it too much.

Well, two years later, and the 'temporary' description is innacurate... this plant is everywhere and wound around everything. Takes a while to get rid of it since it gets so wrapped around some very spiny plants in my yard. Do be careful where you let this plant go. It will root wherever it is touching the ground.
