One of the great earthstar bromeliads. It forms a star with its leaves and the plant hugs the ground. It will bloom with small white flowers, plant will die after blooming, but will bear many "pups" to take mothers place. Leaves are bronze brown with silver zigzag bands across the leaves. It prefers a loose soil-less mix and bright indirect light. Is only a houseplant in areas that are not tropical or semi-tropical.

Cryptanthus Black Mystic - is a small dark Cryptanthus that has almost a black/grey foliage. Although it is used mainly in the interior as a small accent plant it can be used outdoors but must be protected.
