This staghorn fern is related to P bifurcatum but differs in having very large, only somewhat divided, droopy, bright green leaves and smaller, rounded sheilds at the top. It is a native of New Guinea and N Australia. It is perhaps a bit more cold sensitive than P bifurcatum, but I have not had any problems here in zone9b. It can dry out between waterings, but seems happier if it's kept a bit moist and really soaked once in a while. It doesn't like a lot of dry heat and have lost one due to really hot weather... also doesn't appear to like muhc, if any, direct sunlight.
