Seems to have no problems growing in a heavy summer rainfall area, in extremely well drained, mineralized soil mix.

Weird, columnar Euphorbia with somewhat wrinked, worn looking 'skin'. Skin peels away revealing greener tissues beneath. Spineless. Only grows to 3' tall, but can get up to 5' wide on one clump. From island off Yemen (Socotra). Very frost tender.
