This is a stoloniferous, North American lily, native from the bogs and swamps of south-east United States. It reaches up to 2m tall.

It has Turk´s cap shaped, pendant flowers, with light yellow petals and white in the middle, with brown spots all over it. The stamens are long, and anthers are maroon coloured. Blooms around early summer.

It grows on partial shade, and very moist soil.
