Very tall tree from Central and S American tropics.. tree tops in later winter to spring completely covered with yellow flowers. Not sure about hardiness- never seen one outside of zone 11. TAll tree up to 150' tall. Very hard wood, often used for rail ways and construction (though so hard difficult to carve and work with sometimes).
