It has alternate, composite leaves with toothed margins. It blooms repeatedly, alternating numerous male and female flowers on the same inflorescence. Both flower types are very small and white. The fruits are atractive red, winged capsules with three seeds. The seeds are smooth, black, with a white coat on the base making it look like a small black eye.
It doesn“t demand much if you live on the coast, have a sandy soil, full sun light condition, a place to climb, and can avoid frosts and snow. Water regularly. |
