Sold as "twinkle twirl "or such. But can a plant be any tougher?..mine was dropped between stairs, forgotten for most of a summer out of its pot, then placed in ground where it has thrived in heat and cold. Even sub freezing temps for a few nights didn't bother it(freeze 07) Too bad its such a small plant. Like having the toughest little dish garden plant on Earth.

Have grown this plant outdoors now in California for over 3 years... slow but sturdy grower. Mine stays leafy most of the year (early spring to late fall) and is branching profusely now. Not sure if they are flower stalks or what, but makes 2mm 'branches' off stem that look like twigs, often with 1 or 2 bends in them, and these persist after dying, making plant look a bit 'messy'. Not easy to break off, so have to trimmed with clippers. Mine grows in mostly full sun (a bit of shade from another plant part of the day) and no hint of problems with heat, drought, pouring cold rain in the winter, etc.

A good succulent spurge with tiny leaves during the growing season and a swollen stem with tubercules arranged in a spiral pattern. This spurge is from the island of Soccotra and prefers regular water during its summer to fall growing season. Makes an excellent indoor plant.
