Often confused with Cycas circinalis this is a large cycad and does exceptionally well in areas of the world with high rainfall. The forms I saw in Hawaii invaribly had wavy leaflets, but I don't think that's always the way the plant has to be. One of the Cycads that has normally floating seeds (most of the time, when trying to see if seeds are 'good' or not, you can float them in water- floaters are usually bad seeds, but not with this species. It is thought the ability to float has allowed this cycad to spread throughout the Pacific).
