Small, sort of ordinary looking, understory palm from Madagascar. Rare in cultivation and I don't know if anyone has tried it here in southern California yet... so not sure what its cold hardiness is. Probably about a 10a on up. It's a suckering palm with simple pinnate leaves. Stem has a nice chocolate color to it.
