Avon Park Harebells, Avon Park Bells, Avon Park Rattlebox or Tortoise Bells (Crotalaria avonensis) is native and endemic to the dry Florida Scrub, dunes, sandhills, and white sand scrub of central Florida. It is found in Highlands and Polk counties in central Florida (zones 9a and 9b).

It grows as a small to medium shrub or scrubby shrub or groundcover.

Due to habitat destruction, this rare native plant is sadly listed as endangered by the U.S. and state of Florida.

The small flowers are yellow or yellowish to orangish.

If cultivated, it would be useful for a wildlife or native plant garden mimicking the dry Florida Scrub with scrub plants and vegetation.

It needs full sun or very light shade.
