This plant is noticeable from its green brother by its yellow crownshaft even at an early age. I have not noticed any difference in growth rates between this plant and the green form. This palm does not seem to look good in full sun in hot climates like South Florida, at least as a juvenile. It is a great ornamental for any tropical or warm subtropical yard.

Leucocystic form of Betel-nut palm with slightly narrower trunk, and all parts or yellowy- leaves yellow-green, crownshaft is golden, and trunk is golden... and even the seeds tend to be yellowy- gold colored. Very ornamental, but not sure how tolerant of hot full sun they are.
