An invasive ,grassy weed here in the South. It is unpalatable to livestock, so they refuse to graze on it.

It spreads by seeds and roots, and except for it's grace and attractive color, it is pretty much useless.

In the far Northern edges of it's range, it may be used as an ornamental grass, but care should be taken to keep it contained.
