Pleurothallis is the second largest genus of Orchids (+/- 3000 species), one of the 5 largest genera of the Plant Kingdom. These are usually very small plants with vestigial pseudobulb, with one leaf each, with tiny, and very often fantastic flowers. Pleurothalis is one of the favorite genera for micro-orchid growers.

P. brittonii is a relatively large plant for a Pleurothallis, with thick, 15cm long, elliptic leaves. The inflorescence is shorter than the leaf, and it usually lays on the leaf surface. The flowers are small (but big for a Pleurothallis), with golden sepals, very small petals and a greenish lip.

I have found no information about this plant, on where it comes from, and cultivation methods.
