deciduous tree (at least in southern California) from Guatemala. Flowers seen in June but looks like it might be end of flower season... only a few left. Grey, solid trunks with large, dull spines on newer ones. Leaves soft and slight fuzzy to the touch. Flowers come off plumosely at end of branch/flower stalk- not a neat, confined entity.
