I picked this delightful shrub up in the dollar bin last year.
At that time it was a 3/4 dead unmarked 2' stick in a 2 gallon pot. There were though a few buds forming so I brought it home.
I pruned back the dead wood, watered and mildly fertilized it.
Within weeks it had leafed out fully,started new branches and the few green berries on it had turned to a purple/brown.

Now in it's first Spring here fully leafed out and starting to set flower buds.
I've posted a photo.
It came thru the Winter here in Zone 6 w/ no protection and very little die back.
If you want a vigorous growing, lacey jewel this may just be your ticket.
