I too only had a couple of blooms on the plant this summer, and it was our first year as well. I will keep mine as well, as is looks very healthy, and I've never met an Iris I didn't like.

June 2007: Codi bloomed sparingly in 2005 & 2006. This year it exploded with blooms. Maybe the climate here requires 2 - 3 years for the plant to get used to the temps.

Pink-Apricot with ruffled stands. Tangerine beards. Good size and substance. Schreiner's reports 8 to 10 buds but I did not have this experience. Since it is it's first year in the garden, I will have to see what it does in following years. It's a keeper just the way it is. Tends to bloom together on the stalk giving a nice display.
