The Clustered Rock-rose, Rock-rose or Pinebarren Frostweed is native to the dry flatwoods, sandhills and open, sandy or dry land in the Southeastern U.S. coastal plain from North Carolina through Alabama and Mississippi, southward through the Florida Peninsula. This beautiful plant with bright yellow flowers inhabits the dry southeastern habitat known as Pine Barrens. A great and beautiful, possibly drought-tolerant, xeriscaping plant that may attract pollinating insects!
