Black King is a large size hybrid eggplant developed by Takii seed company in Japan. This popular eggpalnt produces large oval shape brilliant black frutis with green calyx, approximate 1-1.2 Lb. in weight. Medium tall plants are very prolific and strong resistant to heat. This variety is good for open field and greenhouse growing. Eggplants in excellent texture and flavor are very good for tempura, cooking and pickling. A long time favorite variety in Japan.
