A 2003 hybrid cultivar. Calliope is an oval, white and purple-streaked Indian-style eggplant. Suitable for baby (2") or mature (3-4") harvest. High yield potential even under challenging field and weather conditions. Smaller, but more productive than Zebra in cool climates. The plants and calyxes are spineless, unlike many varieties of this type.
