Beautiful little border rose, vigorous bloom, pretty glossy leaves.

Strong scent, withstands the afternoon sun and heat without wilting.
Bloom isn't outstanding, but overall shape and tolerance is great.

"JACapshr" described as "english-style shrub" J&P's tag catagorizes it as a miniature. Unfortunately this is one of two out of 11 roses received from J&P that didn't make it (the other 9 roses are flourishing beyond expectation) and will be replaced by a different rose as this one is not available this fall.

This is a Border Rose from Jackson & Perkins. The buds are a coral color which opens to an orange-pink, fading as it ages until the petals fall off as a creamy white. They are very strongly scented for such a small flower (about 2-1/2 inches wide). The plant has a good vase shape as it grows. Excellent disease and pest resistance. The only downside is that they're not good as cut flowers, unlike some of the other groundcover and miniature roses.
