The sepals of this type are those of Ipomoea nil and the entry should ideally be listed that way.

The fact that this Ipomoea nil will not cross with I.purpurea or Ipomoea hederacea,but will cross with other Ipomoea nil,is a clear indication of the species identity.

The Romaji spelling for this type is actually "Hakuhou"
which may be variously interpreted as some large (usually white) bird...likely a male bird...

This is a large 4 and a half inch pure white Morning Glory. It has not other color in it other than white. It was slow to flower and took its time but was well worth the wait. A very pretty white MG.
