These plants minimum 300 sqft growing space but 500 sqft is preferred. 2007 world Record is 1689 lbs. These plants will very easily grow 1000+ lb fruit. Not for the casual grower these plant require a lot of care to achieve the hugh sizes.

I don't want to make promises of 1000 lb. pumpkins here, but I've personally seen many 100 - 200 pounders of this variety, which is still bragging size. Keep in mind folks that this is a huge plant, it will take up a major portion of your back yard. Giant pumpkin growing is an entire science among advocates, lots of information out there to read up on. This is the seed to use.

Fruits easily exceed 100 pounds with minimum care in british summer. Got one 150lb last year no trouble expecting much much bigger this year. secret to large fruit is get as much leaf on plant as possible by high N feeding and wide spacing of plants, Bury stems as they grow to encourage them to root, shade fruit to prevent skin hardening. Don't bother cooking, high water content renders tasteless. Loads of websites dedicated to this plant so info easily available.
