Excellent rock garden plant. It has barbed reddish burrs that stick to animals and clothing, thereby allowing it to spread more easily to other places. Prefers well-drained soil. This plant is an evergreen groundcover. It can be grown in sun to light shade. It only reaches a height of 2".
