I can attest to the hardiness of this particular variety. We had a particulary cold winter here in central Maryland (zone 6b). Although our Kashmir does have some shelter from the harshest winds, the cold did not cause any damage at all. Pictures provided are of our tree that has been in place for five years. It needed supplemental support for the first three years. Although the top of the tree tends to nod, growth remains perfectly upright.

Its extra hardiness makes this cultivar of a lovely species available to a wider range where it becomes a graceful large tree with weeping branches needled with silver-gray. Sun-PSh/Med/GdDrain
