Lavandula x intermedia 'Fred Boutin' has a vigorous broad growing habit with very attrictive grey green broad foliage. Lavandin 'Fred Boutin' is found in a garden in Los Gatos, California, around 1980. Introduced in 1984. It flowers somewhat later in the season than most other Lavandin with dark violet flowers on long stems. A very good choice for hedging and landscaping.
