This species is the provincial floral emblem for Alberta, Canada. It is a lovely wild rose with single pink flowers that are highly fragrant. They are also drought-tolerant, being a plant of the prairies. They will also grow in dappled shade, amking them useful for a woodland setting. The blooming seaon is from June to early August.
