For those who are looking for very hardy species roses, this is one of my favorites. The flower is a common and simple pink one. This rose has great winter interest, though. The hips are pendant and elongated in a very graceful way. The canes are nearly thornless and have a pleasant cinnamon - red color.

It does have a stoloniferous habit so it's best sited away from plants that grow smaller and lower than it. I've found it to grown 4-5' tall.
