This tree has a beautiful form and produces acorns that are smaller than the typical Sawtooth Oak. It is best to keep the site clear of competing vegetation, especially while the tree is young. It is not particular about soil conditions and has moderate moisture needs. It is a fairly fast growing tree, too. Fall foliage is nice, too, with leaves a color of yellow or golden-brown.
