Neutral. Planted in 2006. This rose seemed to get a lot of rust in the first year we had it and seems overall finicky. However, in fairness to the rose it was attacked by gophers in 2007. We relocated the rose and we lined its new hole with poultry fencing (gentrified term for chicken wire) in January 2008. It didn't do anything that year - and I mean it - I truly couldn't tell if it sprouted any new leaves and it certainly didn't bloom. The good news is that in Jan2009 we did a very delicate pruning, and by 3/29/09 we had one very pretty rose and the signs of new canes, new eyes, etc.. Hopefully its over its early hardships.
