Seems pretty easy to grow and tolerant of neglect. This summer I kept a small plant in a 2qt pot. It received only 2-3 hrs late afternoon sun, yet flowered beautifully - even though it often sat in a hot, dry pot. I love the colors. Buds are dk pink. Flowers range from white to white with pink edges to lt pink or med pink or dk pink. All of these colors exist on a plant at the same time which makes for a stunning effect.

I bought this plant a few years ago and it was growing sort of floppy which didn't seemed right. I have since slowly pruned the down growing branches and it is vigorously growing upright. Nice flowers.

This newer French introduction is essentially an improved version of 'Abel Carriere'. This cultivar is a tetraploid, which makes its leaves, flowers and growth habit more vigorous. Flowers open white, and as they age, change from light to deep pink. The overall effect is quite striking.
