The variegated Palmatum Group maple is similar in appearance to 'Butterfly' and 'Higasa yama'. The smallish leaves have irregular pink to white margins. In autumn, these margins turn bright rose-red while the rest of the leaf is deeper reddish-purple. This selection can reach 4-5 m.
