My 'Tiger Rose' is in its second spring now, and has come through two tough winters with no damage. It's in a pretty open spot, and gets direct sun for a good 5 hours a day, and hasn't shown any signs of stress. (It is situated in a moist part of the garden, right next to an area of drain tiles.) In my garden, it leafs out later than my other JMs. I don't know if that's a feature of this cultivar or not.
