As one who is collecting Tillandsia I enjoy this plant very much. Though because the flowers lack real color and are rather short lived, anyone wanting a plant that's a bit more exciting may want to choose another of the 500+ Tillandsia. But is does certainly have a place within collections.
And as with any Tillandsia, seeds are not sown on/in soil.
