this is sort of scrubby looking stemless suckering palm from Brazil- very rare in cultivation, but sought after nonetheless. It is very slow growing and I have no idea what its cold hardiness is. I have had one in a pot for years, so it has some ability to withstand frost... but that plant up and died suddenly, so not sure what it's limits were.
