This selection has large 10-12 cm leaves that are deeply cut (it belongs to the Matsumurae Group). The spring leaves are pinkish-red then change to green with a pinkish margin. In autumn, leaves turn fire-engine red. It will grow as a large shrub or small tree to 5 m.
