'Deshojo' is one of the 'flowering maples' valued for its brilliant spring foliage. The spring leaves are bright red but eventually change to green. It is one of the older 'flowering maples' and newer varieties have spring colours that last much longer. In fall, they turn back red again. This selection has medium to small leaves typical of the Palmatum Group. It will form a bushy shrub to 3 m.
