It didn't stay so dwarf for me, reaching approximately 3' in the second or third year I believe. It also didn't come back for me in the spring in year 3 or 4 in light soil, zone 5B, with good snow cover. I won't be growing it again as I wasn't impressed with how leggy it was in my garden (in full sun), plus the pale pink flowers almost looked white most of the time.
