I consider this an easy intermediate stage Bonsai, excellent for practicing pruning techniques for Elms. I also found it to demand good airflow and full sun for part of the day. The leaves have to be able to dry bettween waterings/ rainfall/ misting else susceptible to blackspot. I water it in the am or early-mid afternoon. Losses all it's leaves in winter dormancy, very nice fall coloration.
