Autumn sowing, in a mix of two portions compost, one portion previously soaked peat moss, one portion sharp river sand and one portion regular garden soil. Cover this mix with a layer of sharp river sand, place the seeds and cover them with another fine layer of sharp river sand. Place them in a cold frame. They will sprout in early Spring and can be transplanted once they have 2 true leaves.
