Introduced by Northrup King in 1990, available from Vesey's who offers this description; "This "Striato" or "Romanesco" squash is a delicacy. This hybrid is very long, fairly cylindrical, ribbed and contains very few seeds. Skin is thin with alternate light green and dark green stripes. The nutty flavor is quite interesting and much different than zucchini but grows just like a zucchini. Plants are an open bush-type. Best harvested when 12-16" long. Maturity 59 days."
