This is the most commonly seen and available of the variegated monsteras, often mis-identified and confused with Monstera Deliciosa. Borsigiana will attach itself to a suitable host and vine easily. Adult stage leaves rarely exceed 2' in dia., have several splits and few perforations compared to Deliciosa. Variegation can be very unstable, sometimes reverting back to green, more often than not, it goes all white, and with no chloropyll, the leaves begin to brown and look unsightly. The plant should be cut back to the last point of 'preferred' amount of variegation and allowed to re-sprout a new growing tip. Oftentimes you will get leaves half white and half green right down the midrib. I have seen these advertised as a separate cultivar which it is not. Must be grown in filtered light or the white portions will burn out.
