I give up on trying to grow this plant. I've tried three times over the last 10 years or so and it is always met with failure. Yeah, the leaves are beautiful, but the plant just never seems to want to grow. The last 'Strawberry Shake' I acquired I managed to actually keep it for about 3 years. I finally pitched it in May of this year. You would think a plant over 3 years old would have gained some size to it. The plant did grow leaves, yes, but there was absolutely NO size to the plant at all. It stubbornly remained below 6 inches in height. Perhaps this is how the species grows.

Save your money for something a little hardier and leave this to the diehard collectors.
