I only obtained this orchid last spring. It survived the winter (Zone 7) in a pot pushed up against a sheltered south wall, and is now sending up new growth. I did follow the seller's advice and provide well-draining soil high in organic matter and watered sparingly during the growing season. As of today, March 27, 2005, there is a bloom stalk!

This plant only gets better. The blooms are now open, and it's an absolutely charming little orchid, pale yellow-green above and ruffly rosy-rust below. (Clearly I'm not an orchid expert--I don't know the proper terms)
