Direct sowed on March 8 and first bloom has appeared today. Not a very strong or pretty one but perhaps it will be better. The other seedlings don't look particularly strong, wondering if it is b/c I planted in less than full, brutal TX sun. It is very small, at about 8" tall.

Dwarf Single Bloom Sunflower

Very short (mine are 8-12 inches Tall and Seed Packet says 12-18 Inches) bright yellow sunflower. The flower itself is about 4 to 6 inches wide. Single Bloom that comes in about 55 days. Looks great. Can be grown in smaller 4 inch pots and makes an excellent little gift like that.
