According to literature, this plant is only marginally hardy in my area (Maryland). In addition, I missed covering it during my winterizing routine. It not only survived a VERY cold winter (2006-2007), it wasn't even stressed by it. And, when I did my spring cleaning, it was already in bloom. And the bloom is very "different". Great plant.
