This non-clinging herbaceous Clematis was raised by R.J. Evison & Poulsen Roser in 2003. It is part of "The Prairie Collection". The four tepals are twisted and their tips are recurved. It is also known as 'Evipo013'.

Prairie Clematis 'Chinook tm' originated with a cultivar on the Canadian prairie. Therefore it's hardy down to zone 4.

Mid violet-blue nodding 4cm flowers with sepals turning upward as they open. Bright yellow stamens. Non-clinging habit. Grows to 3 feet.

This plant is herbaceous and the foliage looks tropical. It is reported to bloom from mid-summer to fall.
