Iris setosa "canadensis." This picture was taken at Lance-aux-Meadows, Newfoundland. The meadows were full of them. Oh yeah, it was July and the St. Lawrence was still full of icebergs.
Picture taken in Kanata, Ontario, July 2003.
This setosa is grown from seed collected near Fairbanks Alaska airport in 2000. Seed sown in Manitoba.
Wild Iris, Iris setosa, is one of the most commonly cultivated wild flowers, in the Anchorage, Alaska area. Photographed in my garden in Anchorage.
